Last week, after breakfast at Holborn Dining Room, I strolled around the corner and visited The House of Peroni on Lincoln Fields, where it has taken up residency until the end of October.
The House of Peroni celebrates the culturally diverse hub of Rome that inspired the creation of Peroni Nastro Azzurro. A new generation of Italian creative talent from the worlds of food, drink, design and film have brought modern Rome to central London for the entire month of October and as a guest, you are invited to explore the four floors of the transformed townhouse showcasing specially-commissioned artworks by Italian designers, artists and architects… and explore, I did.

Freestyle paper cutting – Artist UFO5 presents a beautiful enchanting echo of the timeless gardens of Rome that unwinds from the reception throughout The House’s three-story staircase, and includes a distinctive upside-down garden…

Design collective Nerdo and design studio Truly Design have created digital mural installations with Roman architectural motifs, using cutting-edge contemporary techniques
Each floor offered more doors to open and new corners and collaborations to explore… and of course I couldn’t leave without trying (a few of) Mixologist Federico Riezzo’s latest creations. Federico Riezzo’s drinks menu is a tribute to the Rome he knows and loves; from the ancient emperors and Roman rituals to ingredients sourced from the surrounding areas…

La Dolce Vista – “This refreshing, sparkling drink is full of life, inspired by Fellini’s quintessentially Italian film La Dolce Vita that captured Rome’s iconic style and dripped with hedonism.” Peroni Nastro Azzurro, orange and grapefruit flavours with Prosecco.
There’s also a little video I made, of an Antique Fashioned being made over here…

Roma Phantasma – “Designer Giovanni Corrado of Baoncelli has created an alternative view of Rome, that draws on the strength, volume and engineering prowess of the neoclassical period”

“Film Feast: Guests’ senses will be enhanced as they taste their way through Oscar & BAFTA winning film, The Great Beauty, with an innovative menu designed by The House chefs, Bottega Wapping. Film Feast is a multisensory experience pairing the sounds and sights of cinema with the tastes and smells of a menu created exclusively for the film.”
The House of Peroni is a feast for all the senses…from the food and drink to the digital mural installations and beautifully reimagined facades from Rome…it’s hanging out in Holborn until the 31st October, so get it in your diary and pop over to this pop up before it pops off back to Rome in a puff of smoke.
