Friday night local supper delivery, from Merci Marie at Home
One of the most positive things to come out of the last year is all the new, exciting and innovative businesses, that have sprung up and out of brilliant, creative, forward thinking, pivoting people… and two of these dream weavers are Marie (the very talented chef) and her sister-in-law, Hannah – the cog turning, wheel spinning brains behind the delivery arm of Merci Marie – Merci Marie at Home.
Marie grew up in Provence, where her family have been farmers for generations and is also where her mother and grandmother nurtured her passion for cooking from a young age – growing up on the farm meant that she always had access to the freshest, tastiest produce.

Marie found her way to London on a mission to open her own restaurant and in 2013, opened Merci Marie in Dalston, to rave reviews.
When Covid hit, Marie partnered up with marketing and brand whizz sister-in-law, to launch Merci Marie at home and they now deliver supper to Walthamstow, Leyton and Leytonstone on Friday nights, or brunch on Saturday mornings.
All the food here has been plated up on the gorgeous new range of plates that have hit down at Word Store London – a 5 minute walk from my front door… very dangerous!
This dream team now bring Marie’s home cooked, French comfort food with a twist for us all to enjoy at home. The menu changes regularly and there are always extra treats on offer – I have yet to try the vanilla custard doughnuts or caramel choux buns, but I hear VERY GOOD THINGS).
