New Year. New Bathroom. The After

I can’t tell you how excited I am to share these photos with you after showing you ‘The Before‘. After the big smash up, the hours pouring over pink tiles on Pinterest and the whole should-we-shouldn’t-we brain melt over whether or not we should keep our roll-top bath, we made it. Ripples brought our dream bathroom to life and the last lick of paint was licked on Christmas Eve and we woke up on Crimbo morning to this – an actual luxurious bathroom, where I listen to podcasts in peace and do a full skincare routine in the morning and the evening like a proper grown-up. We did it.
The floor got levelled, the shower and toilet boxed out, pipes concealed, floor tiled, walls painted… and underfloor heating (my big one – such a luxurious feeling, to have warm and toasty feet) laid and bringing me all the joy.

We really wanted a pale grey on our walls, however every grey shade we found was always too dark. In the end, we went with one of Dulux’s off-whites – Rock Salt – and miraculously it looks grey in all the places we needed it to! We completely lucked out with it – the light and shadow of the room worked perfectly to give us our ideal colour.

We didn’t have to search for anything. Ripples met our brief and ran with it, all the way to luxury land. They found every fitting, every shelf and every tile (apart from the floor tiles, as we were being INCREDIBLY fussy and were determined to find The One. Which we did. (In the end).
Our bathroom is our sanctuary. It’s warm (underfloor heating for the win!) it’s beautiful and it’s just the most calm and glorious place to be. I look forward to taking my makeup off. And Izzy has taken to just lying on the floor, like a cat sprawled out in front of the fire.
Thank you, Ripples, for making our Christmas (and life, obvs) wish come true.
You only went and bloody nailed it.

I am going for astrid pink tiles in my bathroom makeover, with brushed gold finishes. I have a sample . They are more pink than beige ( I was hoping for a more muted beiger pink. I will have a walk in shower . I can’t decide whether to astrid pink tiles inside the shower unit just on the floor or throughout. Any views ? Can you recommend a beige tiles / vinyl for floor shower. I am keen on achieving warm tone to the bathroom, so at this stage, not considering grey tiles.
