Five Dresses that spark joy

& Other Stories – Smocked Maxi Dress

I am finding that the clothes I wear, particularly now, are having a direct affect on how I am feeling. If I can look forward to getting dressed (I sometimes decide what I’m wearing the night before, to take any decision making out of the morning) I am far more likely to start my day well. I eat better, I feel brighter… it’s all quite fascinating.

I am a BIG dress wearer – they make me happy. I’m not certain why, but I don’t think we can underestimate the power of the swish. I’ve been having a look at the high street (online) and have picked out five of my favourites that make my heart ping a little and are perfect for the transitional period as we make our way s l o w l y towards the Spring… (Spring! Can you even imagine?)

I’ve really enjoyed putting these together and am aiming to do a weekly round up of five of my favourite things, to brighten up my day and yours. It’s such a treat to trawl the internet in this way – already thinking about next week’s… maybe coats? (I WANT ALL THE COATS). Let me know what you think and what you’d like to see!

For now, enjoy perusing – I’m off for a cuppa and a dark chocolate ginger biscuit because I am an adult and I can do what I want. (Buy at your own peril – they never last long).

Here come the dresses!

You get the picture – I love them! I love dresses! And layered up with a chunky knit would equate to heaven for me. And I also love biscuits. Want to be my friend?

  1. These dresses are very special. I think they would feel a bit OTT at the supermarket though. But who cares this year!
