Home Sweet Home Brunch (and win £100 to spend at TK Maxx!)

To say that I was jetlagged when I arrived in Seattle, is a gross understatement. But, take that to a whole new level and you’ve nearly got to the state I was in when I arrived home in London on Friday morning.
I could barely see straight I was so tired… but I had to stay awake. I was on a Keep Awake Mission, determined to not let the jet lag beat me… so I abandoned my suitcase full of dirty laundry and headed out for a walk in the sunshine (sunshine!) in Walthamstow.
As I walked, I felt the sunshine hit my face and I started to feel like myself again. A key indicator of feeling like myself is my tummy rumbling. Thoughts of food filled my brain and before I knew it was a planning a Home Sweet Home brunch with LM, with eggs and hash (potatoes) and crusty bread and piles of clementines…. and THEN I passed TK Maxx and its beautiful perfect brunching homeware aisles called me…
I was powerless to resist 😉

I picked up so many beautiful pieces at a fraction of the price they would usually be, from all kinds of high end designers and brands. TK Maxx’s Home section has oodles of designer accessories and soft furnishings – you can really transform your house into a home for far less than you might think.

Every few minutes, another TK Maxx worker would come out of their stockroom, wheeling a trolley full to the brim of more home ware – apparently there are extra large deliveries of home products in at the moment. I started waiting by the doors for them, like I do at parties by the kitchen, waiting for the canapés 😉 You’ve got to be quick! Once it’s gone, it’s gone… and I saved well over £100 on this trip as the products were such amazing value.

It was a bargain bonanza and in my jet lagged state I may have got a bit over excited… but I’m ever so pleased I did. These are items I’ll keep forever, and I’m already imagining future parties out in the garden with all these gorgeous pieces.

Take it from me, next time you’re jet lagged, or feeling a bit unlike yourself, get yourself down to TK MAXX for a spot of retail therapy. It works an absolute treat – the laundry can always wait. And on that note, I have £100 TK Maxx gift card to give away!
Want it? Just leave me a comment below!
Good luck. And now, I’m off for a snooze….

What a brilliant selection of bargains you got! I love the homeware section of TK Maxx, I’m sure there are far more real bargains there than in the fashion aisles! My real star buy was a few years ago when I got three wonderful Portmeirion Christmas serving dishes for about a quarter of the normal price, and now the whole family looks forward to seeing them every Christmas.

I can spend hours in TK Maxx. I love taking my time and just wandering around seeing what I can find. I always seem to go for cushions and teacups. They’re my weakness. I love your photos. They have a lovely Spring feel 🙂

I just love these bits! – Great choices. 🙂 Having just bought a new house in the country I’m on the hunt for news items to combine country and contemporary (that isn’t going to break the bank). For me it’s all about turning a house into a house!! xx
