Liberty London X Paperless Post
On Tuesday I found myself at the most gorgeous breakfast in the Heritage Suite at Liberty, to celebrate their new collaboration with Paperless Post – the American website that has completely revolutionised online and REAL LIFE paper invitations. And whom I have loved dearly ever since one of their invitations pinged into my inbox a few years ago…
For the very very first time ever ever, we Brits will be able to order Paperless Post’s gorgeous top quality paper products… and to celebrate this, they have collaborated with the heart pinging Liberty on a collection of 100 (Yes. 100.) online and paper invitations, cards and all things yummy stationery. This is VERY EXCITING.
What was almost as exciting as this, was the room we were in (did you know that the Liberty building is constructed from the timber of two ships? And that the Heritage Suite was constructed from a real cabin?! And subsequently was the office of the Liberty London founder, Arthur Lazenby Liberty? Me neither) and the mini quail eggs florentines that were sitting right in front of me. I may have had more than my fair share of these. (When I say ‘may’, you must understand that I’m just being polite).
Everything about this event was beautiful and had a wonderful feeling of the traditional and historic combining with the fresh and modern, to create something new, exciting and full of beauty… and The Heritage Suite could not have been a more perfect venue for this coming together of gorgeousness.
Liberty for Paperless Post has transformed the classic floral prints from the renowned Liberty textile archive into stunning stationery, including wedding invitations, save the date cards, party invitations, birth announcements and greetings cards… and they are all available from today!
For me, Liberty is synonymous with luxury and I rarely pop in to actually shop there. I nearly always go in when I’m nearby, to have a mooch, gaze lovingly at everything, dream of living in the haberdashery department… and then I leave before I do my bank balance any damage.
But now, with this launch, comes the opportunity to own a little piece of this luxury. Liberty for Paperless Post is affordable. It’s high end. It feels gorgeous. And it looks stunning.
Paperless Post was founded by a brother and sister, James and Alexa Hirschfeld in 2009, and they had both flown in from the States to celebrate this new collaboration, with great joy and pride…
With over 100 million users already, Paperless is very much a household name in the US… and I don’t think it’s going to be very long before there’s a bit of a love-in here as well.
I’m already hooked.
