A Festive Afternoon Tea at Lanes of London

Lanes of London - festive afternoon tea
Last week I had a very special afternoon tea with my very special dad. For those of you that don’t know, my dad runs an amazing charity out in Uganda called Red Earth Education – they are working to increase life chances for the children of rural Uganda, through bettering teacher training.. and I couldn’t be prouder. (And if you’re looking for a worthy cause to donate to this Christmas, I know this little charity would be over the moon to receive a few pounds!)
He’s home for a couple of months now and to celebrate, I took him to Lanes of London by Hyde Park, for a very special and very festive afternoon tea….

And no afternoon tea would be complete without a glass of Champagne. Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial NV Champagne, to be precise.

Lanes of London is the restaurant attached to the Marriott London Park lane Hotel, a 5 star hotel in a fabulous location – overlooking Hyde Park on Park Lane – right by Marble Arch tube station… after we’d finished our tea, I couldn’t resist a sneaky peek around the hotel and got rather caught up in the Christmassy decorations in the foyer!

Our afternoon tea at Lanes of London was such a wonderful, cosy and Christmassy experience – I would recommend it to anyone who loves a bit of sparkle and deliciousness.
It’s also one of the more reasonable afternoon teas in London – at £23, or £29 with Champagne, it makes for a lovely and very special treat for the festive season.
Go forth and guzzle!

Lanes of London invited me and my dad to tea, and as always, if I hadn’t loved it, I wouldn’t have written about it.
