Hobbs – SS15 Press Edits

HOBBS SS15
Yesterday was a crazy day.. I was running for most of it, (from place to place, not in a cool sporty way) and was tucked up in bed by 10pm last night from sheer knackeredness… but the beginning of my day began with me, bright as a daisy (ha) at the Hobbs Spring Summer 15 press show off Regent Street.

I’ve always loved Hobbs – the first store opened in Hampstead in 1981 and was then just a small (but sought after) shoe label.. and it’s now one of the major players on the high street when it comes to great British design. They’ve always fused the traditional and practical with the modern, chic and stylish.. and with fantastic tailoring and detail in every stitch.
Their SS15 collections are feminine, laid back and are rooted in the bohemian spirit of the 1970s, with embellishment and splashy vintage florals at the heart of them…

And this skirt was one of my favourite pieces – it’s called the Lily Flower Skirt and has the most beautiful lace cutwork detail…

I may have drunk this gorgeous berry smoothie.. (and it may have been delicious)

The green of this collection is so bright and vibrant.. and the dresses were gorgeous… the tie wrap-around dress profile was used a few times throughout the collections and I can see why – it’s such a flattering shape and nips in waists in a soft and feminine way…

“The season’s go-to coats are a tale of sumptuous fabrics. From the plush, navy suede overcoat to the glossy, raffia pea coat and linen ink-spot trench, a hero cover-up is now a vital player in the Summer wardrobe”
