– Card Nest – A card subscription service

Card Nest
How often does it happen that your diary goes ‘ping!’ and reminds you that it’s someone’s birthday? Or anniversary? Or their first day in a new job, or last day in an old job or any old thing worth celebrating…? And when that ‘ping!’ goes ‘ping!’ does your heart sink a little bit as you’d really love to send them a card, but you haven’t got one and you haven’t got time to go and buy one… and then the stamps.. and the post office… and oh grrrrr!
I find myself in this position regularly, and often end up writing a very unsatisfying message on someone’s Facebook wall. Rubbish. It’s so rubbish. Especially if your friend is a goodun, which, let’s face it, most of them are.
I truly believe that sending a card or a letter can often be a far more important gesture than we realise… and THIS is why I love the idea of Card Nest so much.
Card Nest
Card Nest is a card subscription service – you sign up on their website, (£7.50 a month for UK membership or £10 for international) and they will send you 3 different cards in the post from their collection each month. With envelopes. And with stamps. You just have to walk to the post box.
“…when our cards reach your letterbox, this isn’t the end of the story, it’s only the beginning…”

My Card Nest cards arrived in this beautiful and very classy packaging…

I received a ‘Thinking of You’ card, a children’s ‘Happy Birthday!’ card and a pop arty ‘I’m So Grateful’ card. I have a use for one of these straight away, and the other two will be kept safe and sound in my desk, ready for the perfect moment.
Everything about the product shouts quality – the paper, the envelopes, the cards, the packaging… it all feels luxy. (I made that word up) (I like it.)
They also work with a host of independent illustrators and make sure you know all about the artist behind each card you receive…

I wrote a card to my bestie…

Card Nest
“We want to encourage people to take time nurturing their relationships rather than seeing it as a chore…”
I love writing letters and cards and value their arrival immensely. Everything seems to move at the speed of light these days, (I sounds like my grandma) so receiving a beautiful, hand written card from a pal makes me feel very special. Time was taken for me. Me!
I have a special subscription code for you, which will get you 50% off your first month’s subscription, and stamps! Just enter POPPY50 at checkout.
Card Nest had me at hello. And if you don’t mind, I’m signing off to pop to the post box.
