– Sweet Dreams – Beautiful Bed Linen from Christy

You may know Christy best for their beautiful towels.. and perhaps for the fact that they design the official towels for Wimbledon… but did you know that they also are a dab hand at luxurious bed linen?
Christy have launched a boutique collection of bed linen for AW14, which includes this beautiful Okame range in gentle primrose and ochre shades.

Having seen it in their brochure, I couldn’t resist it and have loved seeing my bedroom transform into a peaceful country cottage haven… I have also added the Clara cushion and Oslo throw in ecru, as they complement this range so well…

I usually buy  fitted sheets, but there’s something a bit more ‘country cottage’ about flat sheets. I love seeing them all folded up neatly in piles in the cupboard too… and fitted sheets are blimmin tricky to fold!

 

The print is sweet and floral, without being cutsie or ditsy, which for me, is perfect. It is also made with 100% cotton sateen with a 230 thread count, so it feels utterly luxurious when sliding between the cool sheets at the end of the day. (I LOVE THIS! – I feel a bit like Curly Sue, when she sleeps for the first time in the rich woman’s massive bed – anyone else remember that, or is that just me? (Again.)

This range of of linen is sophisticated, feminine and beautiful and it’s making my bed time even more wonderful than it usually is… (possibly the most exciting part of the day for me is crawling under the sheets with my book and a cup of tea.) (And yes, I do get up again to brush my teeth.)
Having gorgeous bed linen is one of life’s little luxuries and one we can appreciate night after night… So, I think we should feel entirely justified in splashing out once in a while, don’t you?
