My lovely friend Julia has, for a while now, written a ‘Sunday Edit’ post on her blog and I’ve always enjoyed reading her round ups of the things that have inspired her that week…
When I was round at her house for tea and hot cross buns a couple of weeks ago, I mentioned my love of her posts and she suggested that I did something similar here on Poppy Loves…
My life is full of little things that make my world a little better, and my Lifestyle Edit posts will be my way of sharing them with you every now and then.
Spring is certainly in the air now and these are a few of the things that are helping me welcome in this glorious season in my own little way…
Starting with these gorgeous new SPA products from The White Company…
The White Company manages to bring a bit of luxury into my life, no matter what time of year it is… and their new SPA Restore range is so beautifully relaxing – it’s made from natural essential oils to cleanse, refine and hydrate skin. In the body scrub, coconut and jojoba oils are blended with olive-stone granules that exfoliate your skin, leaving it feeling rejuvenated and super-super-duper-soft…
Both these products are getting my body and mind ready for the season ahead…
Purssells call themselves ‘the original tastemakers…. In 19th century London, Purssell’s restaurant in Cornhill was part of an eclectic and thriving scene and now you can purchase their coffee with a simple click online! The coffee itself is absolutely delicious and even the packaging is heavenly.
There’s nothing like a wonderful cup of real coffee in the morning, to kick my senses into gear, and what with all the blossom making itself known in the city, this is the perfect beginning to a beautiful Spring day…
There aren’t often bags that scream ‘PERFECT!’ when I see them – but this one did immediately. This cross-body purse from Oliver Bonas comes in three colours; tonal taupe, soft grey and a pop of sunny yellow on the front envelope pocket and zip. You can sling it across your body or remove the long strap and use as a handy clutch bag… It was the perfect accessory on my Marbella trip last week (post coming soon!) and I’ll be taking it with me on my trip to Anguilla later this month as well… (CAN NOT WAIT)…
This next little thing is my first run in with The Department Store for the Mind – a place to “explore the world inside your head: a vast and unique terrain of thoughts, ideas, emotions and memories.”
Their website is packed full of ‘kit’ to help you and your mind navigate your amazing life adventure. You can search by mood, (creative, anxious, serene, muddled etc..) or by collection.
This beautifully illustrated Box of Walks is unique set of cards exploring the joy of walking. They believe that walking is medicine for the mind – it definitely helps me slow down and think things through… and I often come up with new ideas while I’m strolling…
The box contains twelve exquisitely illustrated cards offering guidance from creative thinkers and veteran walkers including Henry David Thoreau, John Burroughs, Bruce Chatwin, Cheryl Strayed, Rebecca Solnit and William Ury… Spring is the perfect time to get out and about amongst the blooms, so I can’t wait to take some inspiration from these cards and get out and under the magnolia…
And finally I want to tell you about my True Love – Mophie. If you follow me on Snapchat, you’ll already know how much I am in love with my Mophie Juice Packs, but for those of you who don’t know this, I AM IN LOVE WITH MY MOPHIE JUICE PACKS.
Mophie Juice packs are essentially battery packs, which also act as a protective case for your phone. I have an iPhone 6, which I use heavily and consistently. Because of my Mophie, when I go to bed at night, I’ve usually not dropped below around 70% for the entire day.
The juice pack gives me well over an additional 100% of battery and I no longer find myself needing to charge my phone during the day… It’s amazing. Amazing amazing. I can’t recommend it enough.
And I love the white colour and new rose gold colour for Spring – they are practical AND pretty!
