Celebrating Afternoon Tea Week at DUKES LONDON

This year’s Afternoon Tea Week runs from 12th – 18th August and establishments all over the U.K, from the quaintest tea rooms, to the most exquisite 5* hotels are leaping aboard with gusto, to celebrate this decadent tradition and possibly, my favourite pastime.
To celebrate, I headed to DUKES LONDON and indulged in a Champagne Afternoon Tea in their beautiful drawing room.

DUKES LONDON is the most gorgeous five-star boutique hotel in the heart of Mayfair. Nestled in a quiet cobbled courtyard in St. James, the hotel is the perfect spot to treat yourself to a delicious Afternoon Tea followed by a spot of shopping down Regent Street or perhaps an afternoon wandering around The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition… it is very special indeed.

The hotel dates from 1908 and is exceptionally proud of its heritage – beautiful oil painting line the walls and there are some wonderful original features, such as the wood panelled lift…(I couldn’t resist a ride…)

The tea itself was extremely impressive – not ostentatious at all, just beautiful, oozing with class and came with a side of impeccable service.

It was such a treat and I loved it.
Thank you, DUKES LONDON, for the perfect afternoon and for treating us (and everyone else in the room) like royalty.
Exceptional.

Afternoon Tea at DUKES LONDON is £35, or £45 with champagne.
