Hoxton Holidays Part 2: Obonjan Island

Following on from Hoxton Holidays Part 1, I woke up at a very lazy hour and wandered downstairs for breakfast at Hubbard & Bell.
Avocado and poached eggs on toast, please.
Oh, and COFFEE.

Then it was back to the room to pack before heading downstairs to meet the crew, jump in a taxi and whizz off to Luton airport to catch our WIZZ Air flights to Split in Croatia.
The London traffic was out in gusto and we arrived at Luton about 30 mins before our gate closed. We charged through the airport like lunatics – nice lunatics – and made our plane with time to spare. #pros.
A couple of hours later we were in Split. 10 mins afterwards we were in a taxi and 45 mins after that we were onboard speedboat from Šibenik Port to Obonjan Island, with the sun setting over the horizon…

We arrived on Obonjan at around 8pm. It was 30°, the sun had set and I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of what greeted me…

We checked in at reception and were given our keys to our tents in Camp Hox, where our luggage was waiting for us.
We each had a tent which could easily sleep 4. The tents were decked out in true Hoxton style, complete with rugs, lanterns, a Roberts Radio, beautiful furniture, accessories, air conditioning (!) and an extremely comfortable bed…

Obonjan Island is just 1.5km long and there are no more than 500 guests at any time, which means there are plenty of quiet and secluded spots to escape and explore by yourself … and, most importantly, you can always get a sun lounger 😉
Crystal blue waters surround sun-kissed bars and restaurants, gorgeous accommodation, a wellness sanctuary, an open-air pool (with emoji inflatables) and a variety of different spaces to hold different events – live bands, movies (I watched Searching for Sugarman), talks, parties etc…

You can choose to relax at secluded coves, hit the running track (BA HA HA HA) join a yoga class (I did yoga every day) or learn to paddle board… Everyday, DJs play poolside and at the harbour and you can spend your nights enjoying cocktails at Drift bar, and dinner at one of the island’s restaurants…
There are lots of different activities going on each day, from gong baths, Cacao ceremonies, hypnosis and meditation, to wishcraft workshops, swimming sessions, paddle boarding and talks on everything from herbs to mountaineering. I downloaded the Obonjan Island app, to keep me up to speed of what was happening when… and thanks to the awesome island-wide wifi, I was always in the loop.

Hoxton Holidays were the perfect way to experience Obonajan – everything I have written about, apart from the flights, is included in the price (£599.99) and the experience. That’s all the food and drink, the night at the Hoxton, all the treats and experiences – the works.
I’ve decided that island life rather suits me.
Take me back to Obonjan.
