My mini holiday with Uniqlo

Being a blogger is busy work, and it seems to get busier and busier with every passing day! So when Uniqlo got in touch and asked if they could send me on a mini holiday, I did a little jig.
You may be thinking a petit jaunt to France was on the cards, or perhaps a Spanish adventure… mais non. And no. Uniqlo know how much I adore my city, so they did a very clever thing and gave me the day off to have a mini holiday in my favourite city in the world – London. Hip pip!
I got to take a date too! So I took my amazing mum, coz who else would you take with you on the London Eye and to a gorgeous Marco Pierre White restaurant for afternoon tea, courtesy of Virgin Experience Days? Exactly.
Oh and not only did they send me off to revel in glorious London for the day, but they also sorted my wardrobe. Dress and sunnies, tick!

I met mum at The London Eye and I was VERY excited – I’d never ever been on it and had heard such great things… I leapt aboard (actually I walked into my capsule quite tentatively) and within a few minutes I was taking in these magnificent views…

Wow my sense of direction is appalling. And so is my mum’s. So trying to figure out where everything was was not as easy as you might think… but we did some good spotting and I was proud of us!
Buckingham Palace, Nelson’s Column, Houses of Parliament, BUS, St Paul’s, Millennium Bridge, ANOTHER BUS! There was so much to see… and luckily for us,the clouds cleared as soon as we embarked on our London Eye journey and the weather conditions were perfect…
We then hopped on the tube and whizzed over to Liverpool Street, where we strolled around some of my favourite East London streets before settling in for an afternoon tea extravaganza at Marco Pierre White – just a few minutes walk from the station.

The whole day was just lovely and it was such a treat to have a little holiday in my home town. It was a secret magic moment, where I got to press pause on life and just flit about my city…
I loved every second and my outfit too! My mini holiday dress is now washed and pressed and waiting in my wardrobe, ready to be whisked away on its next adventure… hopefully it won’t be waiting too long…
