Crafternoon Cabaret Club (Yes, really)

Can we all just pause for a moment. Crafternoon Cabaret. Cabaret. With Crafts. In the afternoon. Mazin.
Gem, Shani and I toddled off to Islington on a Saturday afternoon just before Christmas (hence the craft project theme) and found ourselves at the Library Pub on Upper Street.

Upstairs we were greeted by the gorgeous Hannah, the brains behind the events, who welcomed us into the warm and cosy room, before letting us loose on the crafting goodies table, which was bursting with beads, buttons, twinkles, fabric, felt, glue, string etc.. Everything you could think of. I can think of a few people who would have cried with happiness at the sight of it.

We scooped up as many twinkly bits and bobs as we could carry and scooted over to our table to begin our crafty projects. We were making Christmas tree decorations and I was in snip stitchy heaven.
Instruction sheets were provided and Hannah was on hand to answer all our crafty questions..

Ta da!

We ordered lunch (delicious Thai food) and after about 40 minutes the cabaret acts came on stage and entertained us while we sequinned, snipped and sewed…

The two acts were very different and nothing I would have ever expected… I won’t spoil it for you though, so you’ll have to go to find out for yourself…

The whole afternoon was so enjoyable. We stitched and chatted and ate a delicious lunch, while simultaneously being entertained by two up and coming artists on the cabaret scene..
It’s a crazy combo. It totally works.
