“Don’t be ridiculous!” I hear you cry. But I’m not. (Being ridiculous.)
We can sample all these mad delectable treats and more at our very own Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, laid on for us by the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and the lovely people at the Sanderson Hotel in London. How nice.
There are beautiful finger sandwiches in an array of amazing colours – yellow saffron bread with ham and English mustard, or smoked salmon and cream cheese on green spinach bread (I know), and no fairytale tea would be complete without a hazelnut and passionfruit tart topped with the White Rabbit’s pocket watch, as well as a chocolate crackle cupcake surprise. Now would it.
If you thought it couldn’t get any better, the tea also includes traditional scones with clotted cream and jam and you can get fizzy with a glass of champagne too.
If that’s not Wonderland, I don’t know what is.
