An Exquisite Supper Club in Battersea

“You are what you eat – so don’t be fast, cheap, easy or fake.” This is the mantra of Little Miss Hattie Mauleverer-Jones, founder and ‘chief of everything’ at Top Hat Catering – a once small but now mighty catering company, who have created wondrous, luxury, mouth-watering menus for everyone, from high end fashion brands like Jimmy Choo (not me) and Prime Ministers like David Cameron (not me) to Poppy. (Me.)
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to one of Hattie’s delectable new Supper Clubs, which are held in her snazzy Top Hat kitchen in the heart of Battersea…

Canapés were whizzed around the kitchen, between the pots and pans, and were gobbled up by the ever growing number of supper club guests, who could also watch the chefs cook and create the courses that were yet to come…

And then it was time to sit down, crack open the wine (it’s BYOB) and enjoy the chatter of new acquaintances and take in the view of the chefs working their magic…

Hattie caters for all kinds of events; corporate, weddings, private events, birthdays… and even the odd picnic. She has her kitchen in London and in 2012, Top Hat Catering expanded and opened a second kitchen in Wiltshire, which provides deliciousness to the folk of Wiltshire, South Gloucestershire, Berkshire and North Hampshire… Lucky them.

The meal was absolutely wonderful and it was such a treat to be able to see the chefs at work, while they created the delicious feast presented to us over the course of the evening.
I suspect you are looking at the photos and thinking that for all these amazing courses it must be very pricey, but stop right there – tickets for the supper club are just £35 (!!) and you can find out more about Hattie’s next supper club and book tickets here.
Spaces are limited so do book as soon as you can, and if you go, can you please sneak a bit of that scrummy honeycomb in your handbag for me.
I’ve been dreaming of it ever since…

I was a guest of Top Hat Catering, and if I hadn’t loved it I wouldn’t have written about it.

This looks seriously awesome! I was sold on pork belly lollipops but things got out of control when I saw the arancini and chocolate mousse! Definitely good value too and love that it’s BYOB! Thanks for sharing 🙂 Lots of love, Andrea xxx
