Guesting at Guesthouse in Bath

I was a guest of No 15. Pulteney Street

While I was in Bath last week, I stayed at ever so gorgeous No.15 Great Pulteney – the very first of GuestHouse’s beautiful boutique hotels (now one of many) located in a perfect position in Bath’s city centre. I am huge fan of GuestHouse, as you already know, but I will never tire of their eye for beautiful design, exquisite taste and of course, their unspoken understanding of what I NEED. They seem to know before I do. And it always involves popcorn, crisps and freshly baked brownies.

GuestHouse offer a luggage collection service – they met me at the station with this clever contraption, and sped off back to the hotel with my bags, leaving me to explore the city bag-free.

There are 36 bedrooms in the hotel and the separate Coach House. No two rooms are the same in these beautiful Georgian buildings, yet they are all have Georgian grace and exceptional British quality in abundance. Set on one of the grandest streets in the city, the hotel always knocks my socks off.

My room was enormous. Bright and airy, with huge bright windows and a lovely space for me to rest, read and hold my coaching calls in-between sight seeing. (And the hotel’s high speed wifi was reliable and steady and never dropped a beat. Never underestimate the immense peace of mind that comes from knowing you have reliable wifi when on a Zoom call). Such a luxurious space for little ol’ me – I absolutely loved it. I melted into the pillows at night and just felt so wonderfully looked after.

Sadly I didn’t have time to visit the hotel’s spa on this occasion (if you read this post you can see why!) but it’s a proper little haven that you might not otherwise know about…

“Down in the quiet calm of our spa, you’ll find our down-to-earth treatment rooms with instantly soothing vibes. Including a rather special one for shared rituals. And our skilled therapists are there to listen to your needs and tailor treatments to address them. With their passion for wellness being the main focus of their work.

I can’t think of a more perfect spot for a base from which to explore Bath. I strolled into town each day, picking up coffees and pastries from one of the many different bakeries and cafés along the way… and breathed a sigh of happiness as I walked up the steps of the hotel in the evening, knowing what was waiting for me on the other side of the door.

Thank you so much for having me, GuestHouse. I loved every single minute.
