The London Coffee Festival With Alpro (They’ve gone pro!)
I love the London Coffee Festival. It’s vibrant and exciting and fun and so LONDON. I don’t know if that makes sense to you, but I just can’t imagine the festival feeling the same in any other part of the world. There’s something about the understated vibe, the eclectic bunch of folk, the wackiness, the passion and the whole relaxed swagger of it that makes me feel incredibly proud to be a Londoner.
I popped in to have a wander around on Saturday morning – I’ve learnt that the festival can get extremely busy later in the day, and I like a bit of space to wave my arms around and dance in. (There is live music. I do mean dance).
You may remember a few weeks ago, that I switched over to more plant based food and drink, in an effort to be kinder to my mind and body…. and to the planet. I’ve got to say, I absolutely feel the difference and am so pleased I did it. I’m less tired and I feel overall more healthy. It’s a good feeling and one I intend to hold on to.
Alpro helped me kick-start this new chapter and so I headed straight for their stand at the coffee festival, where all kinds of delicious concoctions were being created for the festival goers to enjoy.
Alpro have a gorgeous range for baristas, which means that I (and you) can get my (and your) favourite drinks at my local coffee shop. (And if they don’t have them, you can ask them to get them!)
The range is called Alpro for Professionals and includes a new Almond drink, which is absolutely delicious. It’s not out yet, so I had a bit of sneaky peek at it before you’ll be able to try it, but do keep your eyes peeled for its arrival!
They were making Almond Lattes, Chilled Soya Chai and Coconut Hot Chocolate too… needless to say, the stand was very busy indeed! Queues of coffee lovin folk were practically stampeding the stand to get their hands on Alpro’s delicious wares. And they really were absolutely delicious.
I had a go at making my own hot chocolate using the Almond drink from the range… the pros are a dab hand at the latte art bit. Think I’ll stick to the stencils next time 😉
I learnt a few tricks of the trade and thought my jug swirling skills were pretty fabulous, actually.
