Burts Bees

Some girls really do have the beauty regime thing down. They’re moisturising, they’re plucking, they’re spritzing and grooming… while I remain hairy, flaky Poppy until I absolutely have to do something about it. The signs I look for are a) undisguised horror from my friends or b) approval from local tramp. Then off I skip to spend my pennies on having someone scrub me down, pluck me like a chicken and generally de-yetify me.

That is… until recently. The angels at Gorgeous Shop heard my grooming cries, (or saw me walking down the road) and sent me a miracle in the shape of Burt’s Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream. *Sigh*

Now I know there are plenty of reviews about all kinds of lotions and potions all over the tinterweb and they can’t all be as good as the reviewers say.. but THIS ONE IS REALLY REALLY GOOD.

It smells heavenly – like a fresh minty lemony zingpop and is thick and creamy – so I only need to use a weeny bit so will last for yonks… badaboom.

There’s no sulphate in it and it’s packed with scrummy stuff that’s good for you, like witch hazel, cocoa butter, aloe, echinacea and extracts of chamomile… and this magic combination leaves your skin feeling super duper deep cleaned and refreshed…and soft soft soft.

And it takes off my mascara too. 

Bam.
