DIY with a side of cashmere

A couple of weeks ago a new Trilogy jumper came into my life, and I haven’t taken it off since. I’ve worn it A LOT.
It’s because I love it. And when you love something, you should let it know. It’s your duty.

It’s officially the cosiest thing I now own and was the item I reached for a few days ago, when I embarked on a little DIY project in our bedroom. When we moved into our house last August, there were no curtains anywhere… So we bought ourselves some cardboard blackout blinds to stand in for a permanent solution.




Nine months later and we’re still clipping up our cardboard blinds. So it’s time for a new solution. Our large sash windows are also single glazed and very draughty, so we’re going to tackle this problem too… more on that soon.






But for now, I’m on measuring duty, in preparation for blind making, glass cutting and frame making. I’ve measured the frames, the drop, the glass, the angles… And I feel, very strongly actually, that if you’re going to measure stuff, you might as well be cosy while you do it.

The jumper is 100% cashmere and has the shooting star design on front and back. I love it.
And I mean, I really, really love it.
It’s spun in pure cashmere, has a round neck knit, full length sleeves, ribbed detailing on the hem and sleeves with a rainbow shooting star motif emblazoned across the front & back. It’s the perfect jumper to wear with cropped jeans and trainers for spring 🙂

My window measurements have now been sent off to the clever windows people, who will be coming round soon to double check my measurements (very sensible) and get the ball rolling on draught proofing, double glazing and bringing our beautiful windows back to life.
