So shoe me
There’s something about new shoes.
I feel taller. More put together. I stand up straighter and feel it would be harder to knock me over. I love the feel, the pinch and the weight of them. The swagger, the smell and the strut of them.
Marilyn Monroe once said, “Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world.”
These were my first; Start-rite, circa 1980.
I rocked those shoes.
But conquering the world? I’m still working on that…
