This post may well be the answer to all your last minute shopping woes. And I feel compelled to warn you that the service I’m about to introduce to you is highly addictive, so read on at your peril.
I’m talking about Quiqup – who will pick up your groceries while you hang out with your pals or get stuck in a meeting (me) or even collect those keys you left at the office and bring them to you while you’re out for dinner…
They are like magical pickup pixies, that you can call upon whenever you need something collected.
Hellman’s have partnered up with them and have launched some delicious recipes, all of which are available to peruse on the Quiqup website. After reading through the tempting meal ideas, I opted to make their Dukkah Dusted Wedges.
Like many of you I am extremely time poor during the week and find it hard to squeeze in all the various life admin I need to do to keep the ball rollin. Stuff like laundry, (this is broken down into several jobs of 1. putting dirty clothes in the laundry basket, 2. dividing the laundry basket into whites, colours and ‘I don’t know but I think it will be oks’, 3. ACTUALLY PUTTING ON A WASH, 4. going out to buy more laundry tablets because we ran out and forgot 5. Not leaving the wet laundry in the washing machine for days, 6. hanging up the laundry, 7. (and for some reason, I find this the hardest one) putting the laundry away.
And that’s just the laundry.
When it comes to cooking, it’s the same thing, and finding time during the week to go food shopping, sometimes just doesn’t happen. And then we eat toast and muesli for dinner and that’s no good for anyone.
So a couple of weeks ago, I was at a meeting in central London. I hopped onto Quiqup beforehand, selected the recipe I wanted to make and then clicked on the button that said ‘buy all ingredients’ and within the hour, some lovely chap had turned up with my shopping, just as my meeting ended.
I received a call, I went outside, he handed me my shopping and I zoomed off to my next meeting, shopping in my bag and feeling really quite smug.
That moment when @quiqup arrived at my meeting in town… #FairyGodmother! #timepoornomore pic.twitter.com/v99yq9bkON

I loved the ease of Quiqup and how luxurious an experience it is. It makes life easier. It removes the stress. And it means that I can have sweet potato wedges with dukkah spices and aioli dip for supper tonight, instead of toast.
Which, in my mind, is a win.

Such a genius idea! I always feel similarly time poor and yes, putting the washing away is the hardest part which invariably means our ginger tom finds lots of extra nesting places…
Great idea
