Bromptons, Bags,
Christmas Bling and Big Ben…
– My Week in Pictures –

Deck chairs in Brighton

Last week I found the above picture in my camera roll, which I’d completely forgotten about. I few weeks ago I was in Brighton and this is a pic I snapped just before the sun started going down… I love it. It’s so quintessentially English and makes me feel warm and nostalgic inside… my grandparents sat on Brighton beach and took in this very view… and I suspect many of yours did too…

A couple of weeks ago I saw a piece in Time Out on Gourmet Goat – a foodie stall in Borough Market, serving up delicious goat meat in wraps and salads. Guy Diamond, Time Out London’s food editor, had given it five stars – so I, LM and a dear friend visiting from Norway headed there last Saturday to give it a whirl ourselves… 5 stars in Time Out is not to be sniffed at!

It was completely delicious and I highly recommend! Not pricey and extremely tasty – my kind of food… We walked home via the Southbank and took in the sights…London is looking magical at the moment and these two landmarks did not disappoint..

On Saturday night it was Gem’s birthday celebrations! We all piled into a local restaurant and ate scrummy pasta until we popped. We had cupcakes for dessert, so I made them dance. Naturally…

The next morning, LM and I headed to Bill’s in Wimbledon to meet some old friends and eat sausages. And eggs. And toast. And to drink my weight in tea…

Queen's Park

One of my favourite streets in Queen’s Park

On Tuesday morning I found myself in Queen’s Park and took this picture – I love this little street with its cute Edwardian houses.. villagey London at its best.

Back at Westbourne Park tube station I spotted this on the wall on the station platform.. I love how London is covered in art and expression… it’s very special.

On Wednesday morning I whooshed off to the Hobbs 2015 press day… so many lovely new things hitting down in Spring next year – you can see my full write up over here…

And then, as we’re in the season of press days, the following day I headed to the Monsoon and Accessorize press day – there’s more to come on their new gorgeous collections very soon…

On Thursday I was whizzing around all over the place but by 4pm I was done with my meetings and it was time for a cup of tea in Covent Garden with the lovely Katie and Alison, whom I met on our Palma adventure a few weeks ago.

We ate macarons in Ladurée and I would have shown you a photo of this, but the lighting was just so terrible! Neither of us seemed to be able to get a decent snap, so instead, here’s a piccie of the stunning Christmas statue in the centre of Covent Garden market… (and you’ll just have to believe me that macarons HAPPENED.)

Oh deer… (sorry)

That evening I visited the clever Brompton chaps on Long Acre, to celebrate the launch of their new Spring colours.. and they were very lovely! There’s more about my Brompton visit here, and then on my way home… as if by magic.. this chap came whizzing round the corner..

Brompton Bicycles

Brompton Bicycles are a brilliant way for nipping about cities

And finally, on Friday I had a little visitor… just before the launch of his new film too! It was a treat to have him pop round for elevenses, especially with delicious marmalade sandwiches in tow!

Thank you Selfridges, for pointing Paddington in my direction and GOOD LUCK Paddington! I’m sure your film will be a resounding success!

Paddington Bear

It’s Paddington Bear!

I hope you all had wonderful weeks and look forward to hearing all about them! Please do leave me a comment below and let me know what you got up to… I’m a nosy parker, me.

Lots of love as always,
