Team. You are being so patient with me and I so appreciate it. Thank you. I know I haven’t written for a while and your comments on instagram and Twitter really are so wonderful to receive. Who’d have thought I’d make such a bunch of fabulous friends around the world, many of whom I’ll never meet, but who continue to lift me up and support me daily. You are the cat’s pyjamas. The bee’s knees. And all other peculiar sayings.

This motherhood lark is rather all consuming, but in the rare afternoons that I do have free I have been seeking out ways to treat myself and feed my soul. Autumn is most definitely my favourite season – the colours, the air, the changes afoot… but there has been something so unbelievably spectacular about this Autumn that it has charged me up like a battery. I am an actual Duracell Bunny.

And this bunny not only loves Autumn, but she also loves cake. So what better way to celebrate the season than to hop, skip and jump to Dalloway Terrace and indulge in their glorious afternoon tea. With a bestie. Sans baby. KaboomCHAH.

If you’re not familiar with Dalloway Terrace, you’ve been missing out on one of London’s best kept secrets. Truly. Tucked away behind the hustle and bustle of Tottenham Court Road lies this jewel of a hideaway. A magical spot to meet a friend for tea, wine or afternoon tea. Go for drinks or go for breakfast… but definitely go.

Dalloway Terrace celebrates each and every season by transforming itself and emerging at the beginning of a new spell, like a magnificent butterfly – bedecked in florals, foliage and anything else the good people behind the scenes can get their hands on. It’s stunning. And this Autumn is one of its finest manifestations. Clever Nikki Tibbles and her merry men at Wild at Heart have transformed Dalloway Terrace into an enchanted woodland of cascading amber leaves… it’s breathtaking. And it is also the perfect backdrop to their afternoon tea which celebrates the apple, in all its forms. (Including cider.) (Which was absolutely delicious).

The fresh, crisp and sweet flavours of delicious apples have been incorporated into all aspects of the Afternoon Tea to encapsulate the very best of the British Autumn. *Sigh*. I absolutely loved every bit of it.

Thank you for having me, Dalloway Terrace – what a total treat it was.

  1. Oh that afternoon tea looks fantastic! I’ve been to Dalloway Terrace once, during winter, but I love how it seems to change it’s “outfit” every season! This Autumnal look definitely suits it xx
