I love chocolate. I know this isn’t new information for you, but if there were ever a time to reiterate this, it is now. Chocolate has seen me through some of my darkest hours – romantic break ups, exams (cramming, taking, exam-results-waiting…) and more recently, sitting up for hours each night with my newborn, Isabelle, bouncing on an exercise ball, jiggling her like a lunatic (me, not her) and nibbling chocolate into the wee hours and beyond…
Chocolate is the ultimate comfort, rescue and pleasure and over the years, it’s Cadbury that I have turned to again and again. Cadbury and I have a connection, and I suspect it’s not just me. I grew up with Cadbury and I still adore it as much as I did when I was small – I still remember the excitement of being handed a brand new, just opened packet of chocolate buttons and making them last for A G E S…. (probably about 5 minutes, but that is a loooong time when you are 6).
Cadbury have launched possibly the best competition ever. EVER. And if you are someone that loves chocolate and has a bit of creative streak in the kitchen, then this will be totes up your boulevard…
Cadbury are giving us the chance to invent our very own dream Cadbury Dairy Milk bar which, if you win, would become the newest addition to the Cadbury Dairy Milk range, sitting alongside Cadbury’s iconic (and my trusted refrigerated (natch) companions) Fruit & Nut, Caramel and Whole Nut bars.
There are over 90,000 (!!!) combinations of ingredients to choose from *gasp*, including melt in the mouth caramel, gooey brownie, crazy popping candy, spicy chilli, tangy orange, fiery mustard, crunchy cashews etc…you can submit up to three of your favourite flavours for the chance to be one of three finalists whose creations will be sold in stores and put to a nationwide vote next year.
THEN, the three finalists will visit the home of Cadbury – Bournville – and will work alongside the clever Cadbury magicians where they will experiment with their creations and make their dream bar an ACTUAL reality. (I have ACTUAL goosebumps).
All three bars will be available to purchase in 2019, when the whole of the UK and Republic of Ireland WILL VOTE FOR THEIR FAVOURITE and together with the vote and sales data Cadbury will crown one creation the ultimate winner AND THEN…the winning bar will be available to buy in supermarkets for a minimum of 12 months, and the inventor will receive A YEAR’S SUPPLY of their delicious creation! BOOM! Seriously, this is the competition to end all competitions!
I loved creating my Cadbury Dairy Milk bar and was inspired by this glorious Summer we’re having. The site is really easy and fun to use – my three ingredients are strawberry, shortcake & marshmallow… and I can already taste it. Fruity, sweet and surprising…much like this heatwave… (surprising, not fruity).
I’ve named it Strawberry Crumble and I wish I could get my hands on a bar right now.
If you fancy going madbury for Cadbury and would like to have a crack a, then head over to www.cadburyinventor.com or visit https://www.facebook.com/cadburydairymilkuk/ for more details. T&Cs apply.
It feels as though THIS is the competition I have been training for my whole life.
Thank you Cadbury, for the amazing opportunity!
Pick me! Pick me! (They can’t really pick me, sadly. *sad face*).

Wow it’s looks great! I love chocolate :)
I just love Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut, it’s got a little of everything in just the right amount in every bite. This is quite the spread if you asked me, I’m just one of those single parent escorts in London with kids whose only free time is utilized with grocery shopping. (Definitely putting a couple of Cadbury bars on my list), thanks Poppy!
Cadbury is always been my first and last choice. Cadbury has different varieties but the best of all is the Silk one. Cadbury Silk is love.
