Rhiannon Southwell is a Bristol dweller, who likes a bit of privacy in her home. And don’t we all. But there’s something about net curtains that makes me think of Dot Cotton, frosted glass conjures up images of cheap hotel bathrooms and finding blinds that both do the job and actually look lovely too, are very difficult to come by.
Rhiannon felt the same, and so after a fruitless search for a window solution she loved, she decided to take matters into her own hands and painted a folk inspired design onto the inside of her windows.
You can imagine what happened next – knocks on doors, toots on horns, letters through the door, all enquiring WHERE she had managed to find someone so BRILLIANT who could do these AMAZING designs! Bristol was a buzzing with news of Rhiannon’s windows, and she realised she had a bit of a hit on her hands… especially as they don’t block out the light at all – so you can have privacy AND daylight. That’s a match made in heaven.
Very soon afterwards, Blossom & Brush was born and she hasn’t looked back since.
Originally from Machynlleth in mid-Wales, Rhiannon moved to Bristol in 2013 with her husband and two sons, after 10 years designing in London… she has years and years of textile design experience and has worked for many top retailers – she really knows her stuff and this exciting venture couldn’t be a better fit.
She tailors each new customer’s design to fit their windows exactly, so each one is slightly different… I just love how pretty it all is!
The very exciting news is, Blossom & Brush has launched in London! So if you have windows that could do with a bit of sprucing, or you know someone that does – get in touch with Rhiannon and you can be one of the first to have Blossom & Brush windows in this fair city….
Oh and if you tell her Poppy sent you, she’ll offer you a very special discount of 15% on all the vinyl transfers! Just mention Poppy Loves.
What a lovely thing it is.
Well done Rhiannon! It’s gorgeous.
