You’re welcome.

Chai Latte

The heavenly chai latte: pic found on Pinterest

Chai lattes came into my life about eight years ago, and I haven’t looked back since.

The sweet, smooth and gorgeously warming nature of this drink keeps it my go-to beverage when I’m needing a tummy hug…

I love grabbing one to go to drink on the tube or sip as I stroll the streets of London… or I just settle back with a chai latte in a cafe and watch the glorious world go by.

Forty Hall Vineyard, London
(Yes, London)

Forty Hall Vineyard

No, you’re not seeing things and you’re not going mad. There really is a vineyard in London. A 10 acre organic vineyard. Run and managed by local volunteering folk and is the very first commercial sale vineyard in London since around 1500AD. That’s HAMAZING.

Forty Hall Vineyard is the brainchild of Hackney resident Sarah Vaughan-Roberts and it produces and sells still and sparkling wines, which are knocking people’s socks off all over this fair land.

Grange and Co

They know what they’re doing in the latte department. Ho yes.

Years ago, I worked in North Carolina as a Camp Leader for Camp America. I did it for three years and had around 180 teenagers in my charge at any one time. Let’s not think about that.

I was also responsible for the counsellors, who were looking after these teens. These counsellors were from all over the world, and included Lou from Brisbane Australia and Ami from London.

Anyway, they met on camp, they fell in love over a cook-out campfire and now they both live in Oz. And obviously this happy ending is ENTIRELY down to me.

Me and Julia, having a pow wow

I’ve properly hit the ground running since the year began, and finding time to catch up with friends and family amidst work and meetings hasn’t been easy!

So having a wonderful café that sells their own amazing cakie goods (and makes coffee just the way I like it) and also two of the loveliest people I met last year, all being around the corner from me, is like wining all the prizes. Crackajack.
