Just before my op, I hot-footed it over to Brick Lane in East London, to visit the immersive and multi-sensory The House of Peroni, entitled ‘Vita all’Interno’ – meaning ‘a life lived inside’. This month-long residency is a celebration of the Italian home – think food, beer, cocktails, laundry, art, nonnas, cake, music and pasta….
…And I was hooked at my (incredibly enthusiastic) Italian hello…I was welcomed by a series of passionate and alluring ‘nonna’s’ who run the home – as will you be.
There are different corners, nooks and spaces to hole up and relax in, which all invite you to make yourself at home, enjoy the atmosphere and the range of Peroni Nastro Azzurro infused drinks created by award-winning mixologist at The Langham Hotel, Simone Caporale, and delicious Michelin-starred food – all inspired by the Italian home.
All of us are able to curate our very own personal experience by obtaining keys which will, quite literally, unlock doors to secret rooms and experiences hidden within the event – revealing a new world where nothing is quite as it seems…
At the centre of The House of Peroni Residency is a six course private dining experience created by Michelin-starred Sicilian chef Accursio Craparo, which you can book at www.houseofperoni.com.
It’s a gorgeous, exciting and sensory experience… and it’s completely free to enter.
Maybe I’ll see you there?
The House of Peroni is open until 25th November at 152 Brick Lane E1 6RU
