Finding my Instant Paradise
in London Town

London is one busy city and I am one busy Poppy.

So finding a little bolt hole for me to curl up in for a couple of days, watch movies, read books and have a bit of downtime, while still being able to head out into the city I love, has always been at the top of my (never-ending) list…

So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to cross it off my to-dos and jumped onto to find my perfect London getaway…

After searching through the many London apartments on the site, I found the ever so luxurious Jumeirah Grosvenor House Apartments, which are on Park Lane, in the heart of Mayfair. These ever so swish serviced apartments have 24-hour room service, an in-room spa service, a gym and roof terrace with city views… Ding!

I booked it and the next day I was there, being welcomed by a very charming concierge, who took me up to my room and showed me around my new home – my fridge was stocked with fresh bread, milk, cheese and other goodies (Champagne!) and he went on to show me all the various gadgets and appliances dotted around the apartment.

Grey sofa

Super duper long sofa…

The low lit lounge, hamazingly loooooong sofa and flat-screen TVs (yep – one in the living room and one in the bedroom) were the first things I clocked… then came the coffee maker, oven, hob and a dishwasher…. an iPod docking station and a washing machine. It became clear very quickly that there was going to be no need to EVER LEAVE.

The kitchen was compact but still spacious and easy to cook in, which I did… however I could also have had dinner in the second-floor atrium, which is flooded with light from its 7-storey-high glass roof….

This apartment was an amazing find – a perfect size in a perfect location and utterly luxurious. are currently running a competition to win €10,000 credit on their site, by sharing your ‘instant paradise’… (it ends tomorrow!) and I can safely say that I have well and truly found mine.
