I should clarify that when I say ‘secret’, I don’t mean that these markets are unknown, but rather they are markets that perhaps only a local would know about…

They are not the big and famous Portobello Road, Borough or Columbia Road markets, but the smaller, community markets, which have settled themselves firmly into the hearts of the locals and are regularly visited and well loved.

So these are my secrets, that I am sharing with you. I hope you enjoy exploring them as much as I have!

A few weeks ago I was feeling like I’d hit a bit of a rut with exercising. I’d had a couple of months of eating really badly – which happens to me whenever I stop being mindful – and I was feeling very blobby and heavy and bleurgh.

I am not a great self motivator when it comes to exercise. Work is a completely different thing – I am like the Tasmanian Devil when I get going with an idea or new project… but exercise is like a black hole in my brain.  A no go area. All I see is Monster Munch. And Crosstown Doughnuts.

Poppy’s popping off for a few days…

Well hello pickles.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

Today I am popping off again for a few days, to some of the prettiest and loveliest Greek Islands to eat fish, play on a boat and discover some more hidden corners which I’ll be telling you about on my return… I’ll be saying hello to Kos, Ios, Syros and one of favourites, Santorini… I am so looking forward to it!

I won’t be taking my laptop with me, so won’t be posting here during my trip, but please do stay in touch while I’m away, and of course you can follow my adventures on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, where I’ll be posting daily.
