Hot chocolate at Pizza East

I keep looking at the above picture and getting misty eyed… It was SUCH a good hot chocolate and it was drunk, in record time, at Pizza East on Portobello Road last week… I love working there on my laptop – it’s always very cosy, there are always familiar faces and, well, the hot chocolate is divine… (It really, really is.)

Last Saturday night, LM and I headed to The National Theatre on The Southbank to watch DV8‘s latest production, ‘JOHN’.

It was such a fantastic piece of theatre and we both were so impressed.

‘Bold, involving and utterly unique. Hannes Langolf’s central performance is simply devastating in its impact and empathy.’ Daily Telegraph

It’s running until the 13th Jan, so there is still time catch it – you can buy tickets here.

Finsbury Park last weekend

Finsbury Park last weekend

Last weekend, the weather was gorgeous. I keep waiting for the grizzly wind and rain to kick in, but it hasn’t. I am loving watching London sparkling its way through Autumn and taking taking leisurely strolls, or running through the city’s parks is a total delight for the senses…

The lake in Finsbury Park…I love feeding the ducks!

I met my dear friend Nat for breakfast at The Electric on Tuesday morning, to concoct ideas and hatch plans… we talked and talked and scribbled in our notebooks.. lots of exciting things to come and I can’t wait to share it all with you! You just have to wait a teeny weeny little bit longer… ;)

On my way back home I snapped this beautiful house in one of the pretty back streets of Notting Hill…

Reds and pinks in Notting Hill

I love reds and pinks together, so this was a feast for my eyes. And just look at the sunshine bouncing off the walls! Loving November!

Wrapping up for the day...

Wrapping up for the day…

The tricky thing about the weather at the moment is knowing how to dress. I keep seeing girls with big coats and Summer shoes. Or Uggs and a light dress..

I rocked the tights and boots look for most of last week, layered up my wooly dresses with my new charcoal grey cape from Topshop and wrapped up myself up in my favourite Paddington Bear Duffel coat (from Oasis last year) every time I stepped outside… it’s not a super warm coat, so is doing the crossover weather perfectly.

Recipease Jamie Oliver - Cake

A slice of amazing cakiness from Recipease on Notting Hill Gate

And finally – this happened. I couldn’t help it. Don’t judge me.

It was discovered in Recipease on Notting Hill Gate and once I saw it, I knew there was no way I was leaving the building without a massive slice of it in my tummy.

Kaboom.

I hope you all had lovely weeks – what did you get up to?

Answers on the back of a postcard. (Or maybe leave me a comment below? Easier.)

Sunny Autumnal love from London winging your way…
