The past week, with its amazingly gorgeous weather and gastronomical treats has been an absolute delight. Here is my week in pictures, which were all posted on my Instagram, just for you..
Something happened last week.
I had the Best Burger Of My Life.
It rather surprised me actually, for I have had a lot of burgers. I tried to count how many burgers I could actually have consumed in my time on this planet.. but then it became a bit upsetting and I had a strong desire to do sit-ups.
Look what came for me in the post! Look! Such beautiful, fresh, fragrant, pretty and GORGEOUS flowers. And these aren’t just any old flowers.. ho no. Just look at them.
Allow me to introduce you to Appleyard London – a gorgeous flower delivery company, with a difference.. or several differences, actually.
Last night I toddled down to The Shop in Kensal Rise with Hop-Along-Bill. I say Hop-Along-Bill coz she had managed to bang her foot into a door (it was the door’s fault) and is now on crutches. So what better way to take her mind of the ouch, than with delicious jam jar cocktails and RIP ROARINGLY AMAZING Mexican food at one of the kookiest and coolest spots around Queen’s Park.
Last night I found myself transported to a Shakespearean spectacle of an evening at The Montagu Restaurant, Hyatt Regency, London.
However, I didn’t get there on horseback. Naaaaayyy. (Sorry). I got there via the whizz bang services of Uber, whom I had never used before but thought I’d try out as it was very rainy and very cold and, um, I was running late.
Last week involved rather a lot of zipping about for me and my little legs. And what’s more, I was still on all kinds of hard hitting pain killers and antibiotics for my wisdom tooth removal, (which shall forever be known as The Big Ouch) so I was a bit like a space cadet… but looking far less like a cheeky chipmunk.
I love Habitat. I think we all love Habitat. They do everything so WELL. It’s not often that I walk into a store and want everything I can see… but that’s Habitat for you. Bank-breaking, pocket-emptying, gorgeous heavenly Habitat.
Ding ding! Big news – The Young Vic’s fastest-selling show of all time, Benedict Andrews’ production of Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire – with Gillian Anderson, Ben Foster and Vanessa Kirby – is to extend its run by two weeks to 19 September 2014.
Joss & Main
You may remember me raving about Joss & Main a couple of months ago. That is because there is much to be raved about and I’m tickled pink that I get to give away a lovely £50 voucher to one of you lovely lot, to splurge on some kind of gorgeousness you will, no doubt, find on their twit twoo of a website.
I have never been to Wimbledon. Never ever. I’m the one on the sofa, yelling at the telly, thinking WHY DIDN’T I GO TO WIMBLEDON?
But this all changed on Saturday, when the gorgeous people at Christy, an official Wimbledon sponsor and partner (and who supply all of the towels for the whole tournament – read on to see how you can win one!) scooped up me, Jeska from Lobster and Swan, Torie Jayne and Gemma Tomlinson and whisked us Wombles off to Wimbles.. and what a very VERY exciting day it turned out to be…
